heart-shaped tamagoyaki.

I keep cooking!  I recently got into my cooking phase where I try a bunch of different recipes.  I decided to finally make tamagoyaki~  It's egg with scallions; it was really yummy!  There's not supposed to be ketchup, but I used it to attach the two halves together to make a heart shape.

[review] the face shop - smart capsule cc cream.

やった!! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ  My CC Cream I bought finally arrived~  It's from The Face Shop and I bought it on Ebay for like $24, I think.  Along with the CC Cream, I got two small samples with it.  I was long awaiting to try out the product since my friend told me that it's supposed to have less coverage and have skincare benefits.  I already have pretty clear skin, so I thought that something like this would work out nicely for me versus BB Cream which is similar to a foundation and concealer mixed together.
There were so many different choices to choose from it actually took me weeks before I decided on a brand of CC Cream I wanted to try.  I was stuck between Hera's and The Face Shop's CC Cream; in the end I decided on the cheaper of the two.  But then another decision was thrown at me, did I want to buy The Face Shop's Face It Aura CC Cream or the Smart Capsule CC Cream.  I was doing research comparing the two:
  • Aura CC Cream
Two color choices, the cream itself is a beige color, 20 mL, SPF 30, and pricier of the two
  • Smart Capsule CC Cream
One color choice, the cream itself is a white color, 30 mL, SPF 40, and cheaper of the two
Honestly, I didn't even know which one to pick after comparing the two so finally I just asked a friend and she recommended me to get the Smart Capsule CC Cream.
This cream claims to have anti-wrinkle care, whitening, and sun protection properties.  By only having one color for this cream, the cream is supposed to be match most skin tone colors.
This CC Cream has a very interesting pump system.  The cream is inside an air tight container to prevent it from oxidizing.  I had to pump it a few times before the cream started sputtering and came out.
I originally had a swatch test on my hand, but I took a picture and for some reason I couldn't tell a difference so I left it out.  Instead I covered half of my face with the CC Cream.  [I look like I haven't slept in a while...lol]  Can you tell the differences?
I applied the CC Cream to the right side of my face.  You can tell that my face looks considerably paler and brighter, and you can almost barely see my dark circles now.
Close up shot of the texture on my face.

Everything was so far so good?  Until I applied it on my whole face.  I look like a ghost.  There was this white cast on my face and sadly the cream didn't really blend very well into my skin.  Maybe it was because I hadn't exfoliated yet so I had a few dry patches here and there.  Here I thought it would be a lighter coverage, but this makes me paler than my Missha BB Cream I have.  (・_・ヾ
It's supposed to eventually oxidize and blend in with my skin tone.  So I let it sit for a while and finally it blended into my skin.  I went ahead and did some simple makeup just to see how it would look, and wow it makes my face really flawless.  It was so flawless it was unnatural and scary at the same time.  My sister walked in and said that I looked like I just jumped out of a Final Fantasy game.  lol  This would be really great for cosplay and my white wig I own.  My BB Cream couldn't make me pale enough to where I wouldn't look orange wearing my light colored wigs.  Maybe this CC Cream will do the trick!

cooking time.

Ahh, I felt like cooking today so I decided to make some things.  I didn't have much ingredients to start with so I could only make simple dishes.  I decided to make shiitake mushrooms with soy sauce and custard pudding!  For the shiitake mushrooms I followed a book recipe and tried to make it as similar as I could to it~  Do they look like the same?
And I also made the custard pudding using this tutorial~  I kind of messed up since the water started boiling so the pudding wasn't as smooth.
They were both so yummy~  Too much sugar though.  XD

day at the mall.

I went to the mall after working full time for over two weeks.  It was sooo relieving; it was nice to take a break.  I had bought some red velvet leggings earlier, but I had no idea what I could match with it, so I went on a hunt trying to find some new clothes that could match it.  It only took me one try to figure out what would look good with it.  I ended up buying a grey cowl necked shirt and a black cardigan.
Lol please excuse the cat face.
It's simple but I thought it looked good.  This was what I was wearing to the mall for the day!
What I wore:
Hair:
Gradation Skin Wave Extension - Gabalnara
Top:
Tailored Long Vest - h.Naoto Frill
Bottom:
Stripe Ruffle Skirt - h.Jelly/h.Naoto
Classic Gold Velvet Wine-red Leggings  - romwe.com
Shoes:
Creepers - Yosuke U.S.A.

[sponsored review] dolly eye - puffy 3 tone green.

Today I decided to review the green lenses I chose from iszocirclelens.  I own the Puffy 3 Tone blue, but I've always wondered what the green ones looked like.  I love my blue lenses as they are a deep ocean blue and is vibrant.  I wondered if the green would be as pretty as it looks in the stock images.  My friend owned a pair, but I remember that it didn't look as appealing and the color was dull, but I was proved wrong.  And I'd like to thank iszocirclelens for sponsoring these lenses.

Brand: Dolly Eye
Series: Puffy 3 Tone
B.C.: 8.6 mm
DIA: 14.5 mm

Water Content: 38%
Color: Green

$19.00

First off, picture of the vial that the lenses come in!

An upshot of it held to the light
What they look like in the solution.  The green looks pretty light colored to me.  I wonder how it will turn out.
Compilation of my eyes shot in different settings.
A few seconds long video of the lenses in real time.
[Please view in 1080p HD]
Don't think I've posted a picture of the lenses from the side before, so I'll try that.
The pictures were all taken from different light settings since I was traveling around today.

What I think about the lenses?
They were really vibrant despite my expectations of them.  They weren't dull at all and looked natural.  I've always loved the Puffy 3 Tone series because of how they were able to look so realistic but vibrant at the same time.  I am able to wear them anywhere without worrying about it not being too noticeable or not noticeable at all.  It has a nice balance between the two.  The lenses looked brighter when not worn so I thought it might be a paler green on my eyes, but it turned out a nice deep green which was very pretty.
Comfort: 4/5
Puffy 3 Tones have always been really comfortable for me.  I would give it a 5/5 if it weren't for today's incident.  I think there might be A. a tear in my left lenses or B. a small particle caught between my eye and the lens.  While one eye felt completely fine with no discomfort, the other eye was constantly in pain.  It felt like there was something in my eye, but every time I checked there was nothing.  Since I've owned this series before, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for its comfortableness.
Enlargement: 3/5
If you're looking for a natural slight enlargement, this is the one for you.  These don't make your eyes dolly, well they do, but not as much.  They depict more of a 14.2 mm lens than a 14.5 mm lens.
Color: 4.5/5
The color was an emerald green.  It was such a beautiful color.  It showed up really nicely as well, but from about 3 feet away, the color doesn't show up as much anymore.

always working.

Sorry I haven't had time to post anything new or do anymore reviews.  Work is really taking up a lot of my time.  -sighs-  Trying to make money for tuition for college and the college doesn't even have the major I want to go into.  What to do with life...

cc inspired makeup.

For Franchesca Chan who requested a CC from Code Geass makeup look.  I tried my best!  >3<  I've never done character inspired look before.  I'll honestly say I didn't have the slightest clue as to what I was doing.  I looked up some pictures of her to get a feel for how her eyes looked and what not.  It was difficult and I'm still not satisfied with the outcome, but practice makes perfect.
I'm sorry, but this was the closest wig to CC that I could find.  I don't own a green long wig.  XD
A closer up of the makeup.
And further away shots.
I'm sorry I look nothing like CC, but I tried my best!  ;A;  The makeup was kinda messy since I didn't have a liquid eyeliner atm.  I need to buy a new one.  I had two different eyelashes on each eye just to see how each gave a different effect.
I really hope you enjoy this makeup look!

still sick.

Ughh, I'm still sick and feeling horrible.  I lost my voice yesterday morning but I still had to go to work and pick up phone calls and what not.  That probably didn't help my condition.  I just need to sip on some warm soup so I made some miso soup.  No tofu though, so I need to go buy some.  X.X

velvet maroon.

I finally received my leggings I got from romwe.  They're maroon velvet leggings!  They're so soft and I love the texture of the fabric; they shine a bit here and there and it's just interesting.

On a side note:  since I'm out of school and earning money by working a full time job, I won't be able to blog as much for about two months now.  But I hope you will still continue to follow me.  ;D

exam day.

Best day ever: So I go into my history exam with only material I learned in the past 3 hours, and some guy sits next to me probably thinking I'm going to ace it. Well, I didn't ace it, but I did pretty well since it was similar to what I studied for. But get this, he was copying off my paper, since I noticed he wouldn't bubble anything in until I did. SOOOO I circled the wrong answers on my test, and bubbled in the right answers on my scantron. When I finished the test, I took a glance at one of the answers on his scantron that I just finished. He totally had the wrong answer LMFAO I'm going to screw you over so hard person next to me.
MWAHAHAHAHAHA

[sponsored review] beuberry - cherry pink.

So it's time for the second review of the four!  I chose these pair because I've only owned one pair of pink lenses before versus x23423 blue and reds.  The one pair of pinks I did own were really unnatural looking so I couldn't do much with it.  Well, if I was trying to scare people, I did a great job.  Everyone told me I looked like I had pink eye [no pun intended].  So when I was looking around iszocirclelens's website, I found a good selection of pinks.  There were actually two I wanted to try, but I went with this one since it look more vibrant.  Once again, I thank them for sponsoring me with these lenses to review!

Brand: Beuberry
Series: Cherry
B.C.: 8.6 mm
DIA: 16 mm
Water Content: 55%
Color: Pink

And like always, we start off with the picture of the vial!  Very cute bottle I think.  I was a bit concerned about one of the bottles though, it looked like it had been tampered with, but nothing was wrong so all good.
The side view of the lenses
An upshot of it
While waiting for them to soak in the solution.  As you noticed the color s on the front and back are different, so I wonder if the color was printed on the outside??  ;o  Will the lenses bleed color?!?!  I hope not.  I tried rubbing it, and nothing happened.
Collection of my eyes in different settings.

[Please view in 1080p HD]
I decided to get a little crazy with makeup today.  Was trying out a new cosplay makeup technique for making ones eyes look bigger.  I drew on fake double eyelids and used overly long eyelashes.  It worked like a charm.  lmfao

What I think about the lenses?
I love these lenses!!  OuO  The design is really interesting, but it would work so well for cosplay.  Though I admit, if you wore these by themselves, it would look too overpowering.  They are pretty opaque so it would look odd.
Comfort: 3/5
Too bad since its so opaque, not as much air is able to reach my eyes.  I was feeling dryness in my eyes, but it wasn't irritating.  I would probably be able to go about 6 hours with these on before I started feeling irritations.
Enlargement: 4/5
These lenses are huge.  lol  It might be because of my makeup as well, but they make my eyes look really big.  Since it has that bold ring, it looks a bit unnatural, but it does enlarge.
Color: 5/5
Opaque, pink, lots of pink, shows up, what more can I say.  This is great for color lenses!  It has a few sections where my original eyecolor could show through, but with that said its still very vibrant.  Unnatural, but would look amazing with makeup.

loss.

I really didn't feel like studying today, so I got bored and did a quick sketch.  I haven't drawn in a while and I'm pretty sure my skills are decaying.  I guess I drew this to somewhat symbolize the loss of my drawing skills; I hardly have time to draw anymore.  I'll have to pick it back up soon though.
Please excuse the flying scissors, I suck at drawing hands.

sick for finals.

I got sick during my finals.  ToT  Most likely due to too much stress from school and work.  Not sleeping properly either.  My stomach is hurting as I type this too.  I'm just in all types of pain right now, so my post won't be as long today.  I couldn't handle feeling awful anymore so I went to a Chinese restaurant to eat seafood claypot.  It was like $15 but I was craving it and bought it anyways.
It had imitation crab, fish balls, meat balls, cabbage, tofu, shrimp, shitake mushrooms, snow peas, and I think that was all.  It was a seafood fest!!  *.*
It was sooo gooodd, totally worth it.  After that I went and bought Vitamin C and some cough drops to help me through my sickness faster.  -sighs-  I really hope it goes away soon before I have to start working a full time job.  QQ

[sponsored review] i.fairy - jewel brown.

ARGHH I'm so annoyed.  I meant to post this yesterday but of course my parents cut my internet off.  Seriously, when will they grow up and stop doing that.  It's really annoying.

Anywho, enough of that.  I'm going to review my one of the four lenses I received from iszocirclelens that they were nice enough to send to me to review.  Thank you so much!  As I am new to sponsored lens reviews, I'm really happy they were willing to let me try.  They decided to let me pick out four lenses I wanted to try and the i.Fairy - Jewel Brown caught my interests.  As I said in my earlier post, I don't own many natural looking lenses so I decided to try for this one.

I liked how the color was a light brown color/a bronze tone to it.  Amazingly, you could actually tell that my eyes were a different color.  The lenses were more opaque than I expected.  This would be great for cosplay if the character called for having brown eyes.

Brand: i.Fairy
Series: Jewel Brown
B.C.: 8.6 mm
DIA: 16.2 mm
Water Content: 55%
Color: Brown

The vial looks like this:

I tried taking a picture of the lenses from below this time~
While they were in the solution.  Sorry I like taking a picture of just one of the lenses so I can get in closer to show more detail.
Comparisons from different settings:
And also a quick video of the lenses in action.  I tried showing both eyes this time to see how it would turn out.
[Please view 1080p HD]
Pictures of it with makeup and a wig.

What I think about the lenses?
When I first put these lenses in my eyes, it started stinging really badly.  I'm not sure whether it was because I had dry eyes or not, but after about 10 seconds it felt better.  I expected the brown to not show up and just naturally blend into my eyes but I was surprised when the color actually showed up.  Don't get me wrong, it was a nice surprise.  The designs on it were nice as well, the outer rim reminded me of my Neo Cosmo - Glamour Grey that I used to own.  Instead of a thick bold ring, its separated with little tiny slits of spaces in between for a more natural appearance.
Comfort: 4/5
Reason I give it this score is due to the stinging I experienced when I put it in.  Also, due to the fact that my eyes started getting sore after about 6 hours.  Usually I can wear them for about 10 hours with no side effects.  55% water content, my 42% Extra Dali Size Brown, as reviewed here, felt like it had more water content than these lenses.
Enlargement: 3/5
Though it says it's 16.2 mm, it didn't really give that effect.  I think it was more of 14.5 mm effect; it was probably because of the non-solid ring which doesn't give a "pop" of "enlargement"???  [for lack of better words]
Color: 4/5
You can still tell the color was a bronze-brown color and they're semi-opaque.  They blend in with my eyes, but not a lot.  There's also a halo effect which is really pretty in my opinion.  I have pretty bad lighting in my room so I judge the color based on whether I can see the color of the lenses when I look in the mirror.  I could still tell that my eyes were not my natural color which is pretty good.
